Logodesign Podcast Episode 8: Crest Logos
No one likes a logo with bad-breath, in this episode Paul comes up with a cure for the dreaded ‘Halitosis Logo’, his solution…? Apply a little Crest. Okay that was a lame pun, but in reality a crest style logo can help you take generally spastic and disjointed designs and give them some nice cohesion. They are not as easy as they may appear, but Paul gives a step-by-step look at how to start at a concept and work it into a nice lather, then polish that into a gleaming piece of crested goodness.

I’m not much of a logo designer but I the podcast was very informative. It got me thinking about the principle of gestalt that I will definitely incorporate in my next logo. Thanks.
Btw … when I viewed the podcast via itunes there was no video. I had to come to the site to see the logos you were talking about.

It will show the logos I refer to if you go under View in iTunes and select “Show Artwork”. A small window opens in the iTunes browser. If you want to see it bigger, you click on that window. Or just type Cmnd-G.
Anyone have any ideas for future podcast topics?
