If I didn’t know anything about him, I would say he is about change.
Something different. Which he certainly is. The reason for this first
impression is because he’s using an icon. He’s using a simple serif font.
He’s not using a bold sans serif or the very overused Trajan. It’s very
readable with nice kerning, and an elegant typeface.
The icon suggests a new
horizon, the dawning of a new day. It has an agricultural feel to it, while
staying modern. And it’s a very common visual, so it has some familiarity
with most Americans. Very effective.

Finally, someone who’s got his apostrophies together (see Biden, Hunter, Paul).

I agree that this logo has a different feel. The pastel red and blue in the image and the rounded serifs all are friendly and personal. Simple and to the point.

This was stolen from the carbonfund.org logo.

I don’t know about “stolen”…since one can hardly imagine a more concise use of the letter “O” for a political candidate promising green jobs.
It seems clear to me that it’s only incidental that Carbonfund.org achieves the same “O”–to signify a sun and sky, and not a letter.

Stolen from carbonfund.org? Hardly. There are plenty of logos that utilize this “o” design, and plenty of those have been around way before carbonfund. You’re giving your company a bad name by making such statements.

I also felt like the Obama logo was a copy from Carbonfund.org and Googled it, finding this page… ha.
