The first impression is a generic, traditional candidate with little
experience. The font is unique for a presidential logo and it has a homey,
traditional look. But the often overlooked letterspacing needs some work.
The flag seems tacked on as an afterthought and does not tie in with the
text.
The “FOR PRESIDENT” is capitalized, so it looks like one solid shape,
which is good. It should be moved up, though. Overall, there is not much to
differentiate this logo from the pack, and that seems like Brownback’s
struggle in the race. With no clear position on a key issue like Iraq, for
example, it’s hard for the average voter to get behind him.
