Lego Google Logo

To mark the 50th Anniversary of LEGO, Google “Legoed” it’s logo. In the early days of Google, they used LEGOs to create a casing around the computer equipment. Google also reportedly has LEGO bricks around their campus offices to encourage creativity and test new recruits.

My Logo is Bigger than Yours

GMC Logo

Dodge announced at the recent Detroit Auto Show that they are going to display their Ram-head logo on its flagship truck 250% larger than before. Kicking Tires, an automobile blog went out and compared the actual size in area of eight full size trucks.

Here are the results:

  1. GMC Sierra 63.8 square inches
  2. Chevrolet Silverado 38.4 square inches
  3. Chevrolet Avalanche 38.4 square inches
  4. Nissan Titan 35.8 square inches
  5. Dodge Ram 33.1 square inches
  6. For F-150 31.5 square inches
  7. Toyota Tundra 30.4 square inches
  8. Hummer H2 SUT 25 square inches

I’m not sure what to think of this. Maybe it means that all you need to do for branding is make your logo bigger…

Genetically Engineered Logos

Virgnina Tech Cow Logo

Babe, a 16 month calf was born with an interesting mark on her forehead. Babe has a white Virginia Tech logo on her head. It wasn’t discovered until two months ago when the owner’s wife was watching a Virginia Tech football game on TV and saw the VT logo.

Now, we’ve all seen interesting locations for logos, including the forehead tattoo. But this takes it to the next level. How great would it be if your logo started popping up on animals or even people naturally? What the owners of Babe need to do is start breeding her and through the process, create the Virginia Tech Cow. Now that would be worth money! Who knows, we could start genetically engineering animals, trees, and other organisms to have our logo.
