		<description>I agree with Max. I look at it as a shield, much like the old family shields of yesteryear. That is what I thought it was before I read the post. I guess it makes just as much sense to have one for a town as for a family.</description>

		<description>I think you're coming at this from a very commercial, modern mindset. This isn't really a "logo" that the town has commissioned--it's a shield. The operative symbolism and standards are those of heraldry, not branding.</description>
