One thing I see, which probably isn't meant to be there but I find funny, is if you look at the white space, it looks like it's a guy buried in the ground with his feet and legs sticking out. Which could be seen as a nod to the intense nature of the sport. :)

Have you ever realized that when you buy readymade suits you get a choice of only a few colors & styles, also finding the perfect fit are quite difficult? Wouldn’t it be better to choose from over 2000 different British & Italian fabrics and get a tailor made suit at a similar price that you pay for readymade suits?

We are a company based in Hong Kong and have been providing custom made suits & shirts since 1997. With representatives in major cities around the globe we can arrange to show you the fabric samples and take your measurements, or you can also place your orders online with the help of our measuring guide. There are over 2000 fabrics to choose from along with all the latest styles.

All our suits and shirts are produced by highly skilled Shanghainese tailors in Hong Kong and delivered in about 4 weeks, express delivery can be made in 2 weeks at a minor extra cost. In case you are not able to find what you are looking for then please let us know your requirement may it be in words or by a photograph and we could arrange it for you.

We also have an outlet at the Hotel Intercontinental Budapest where you are most welcome to visit us. Though we are not located in streets like Savile Row (London), we have still been able to offer made to measure suits to many VIP’s from around the world.

Experience an easier way of shopping for bespoke suits & shirts at Euro Tailors

Hi,

Let's say I had a beef with McDonalds. I then proceed to put Golden Arches on a tee shirt.
I couch the logo into stop sign with a diagonal bar running through it. Then I parade around
in public with the shirt on. Comment please.

Cheers,

I saw one website with all different kinds of design templates. It’s a stock photography site but has vector art and illustrations. Just use those keywords to narrow your search, and then use the great visual search tools to quickly find what you want.

You can check it out at http://xcavator.net/

I've never read so much crap in all my life.

There is a reason why Comic Sans isn't used widley… it's a rubbish font and looks very amateurish. Voting by committee also leads to delays, basically your saying people are unable to make decisions, if this is the case then their business will fail! Adding swooshes and lots of colours just because you can it rediculous. The only true way to design the perfect logo is by building a relationship with the chosen designer(s). Letting them know everything about your business and through good research and strategy build a brand. Yes changes can be made but having round and round of changes based on 30 people deciding what is best is stupid. Who ever wrote those tips obviously is no designer.

I like the Packers, Cowboys, Raiders, Steelers and ofcourse 49ers..... why? Because history is behind those logo's, that to me makes a logo stand out.

p.s the broncos logo is very ugly.

You needed to exam the theory of 3's, not enough triangular shapes to incorporate a mascot into a school design...subpar at best!

This page displays bird logo designs. These logos all share a common feature : they contain images of birds. While the images of birds are a combination of abstract and realistic images, they all share a common theme. If you own a bird pet store, are a bird handler or are involved with a company that is specifically involved with birds, these logos are for you. Different species of birds are ideal for logos as well. They make great mascots and make wonderful visual images for logo designs. They are eyecatching and very easy for people to remember. You don't have to have a company related to birds to use on of our bird logos. Sometimes the type of bird reflects an integral part of your company. Take time to browse through our designs to see if any of our bird logos might work for you.

You can always request to have color changes to these designs at no additional charge. Please note that we also do custom logo design if the designs here are not quite to your liking.

I'm the designer who created this logo, and was quite shocked to see that it's garnered so much interest. If you'll allow me, I'd like to respond to some of the comments.

Kristina, obviously this logo is something that really bothers you. I'm sorry this has had such a traumatic effect on you to be writing a blog about it years later. I appreciate your opinion. What I don't appreciate is the fabrication and exaggeration of our meeting. You were brought in with a group of students and administrators as a courtesy to show you the direction of where we were heading with the logo. I remember your comment about thinking it looked like a bird and that I thanked you for your opinion and calmly explained that there would certainly be some others who didn't like it for one reason or another, but that our goal was to create a logo that would ultimately help with school spirit and morale, and that hopefully most would like. At no point did you say I was terrible and that the design was hideous. This I would remember. At no point did I explode into a tirade or insult you. This would be a foolish business idea and I would surely be thrown off campus and fired from the project if I ever did that in front of ANY client. You make me sound like an egotistical monster. Shame on you. Those who that were there or who know me, know what I'm talking about. That's not my style. You really could have set up this blog without the lie and achieved the same result.

For the rest of you, thank you for your comments. Looks like some liked it, some didn't and most hated the type treatment. That's fair. I'm not the best nor the worst, I simply do my best. I was hired by principal Nancy Peterson, who had just seen my work for Mission Hills High School, so I agreed and discounted my fees to help the community. I think we've done what we wanted to, and you really have to see the before and after of the logo throughout the school to appreciate it's impact. So many schools these days use clip art logos or steal from pro teams. We didn't and I'm proud to say I was a part of it.

And for the record, I like Bingo's comment.

Thank you all so much. Never stop caring or discussing the good and bad of design, it's what makes us all better at what we do.

So many schools these days use clip art logos or steal from pro teams. We didn’t and I’m proud to say I was a part of it.

And for the record, I like Bingo’s comment.

Thank you all so much. Never stop caring or discussing the good and bad of design, it’s what makes us all better at what we do.

Scott

Ok how about this for a topic:
Do you ever feel like you are a complete hack and you should hang up the mouse for good? If so, how do you personally get your mojo going again?
(Not that I have experienced this myself..lol)

Starbucks is too overcrowded and overpriced with too much competition.
It will take more than an old/new logo to bring the company and its stock back to its former high.

Sorry for the delay, btw. I'm having a hard time coming up with a topic. Any suggestions?

I'd just like to say that your podcasts are really helpful. It's great to hear some design advice from someone who really knows what they're talking about. Really insightful! The whitespace podcast has probably helped me the most so far.

Thanks a lot!

Your company logo is an integral part of your company’s image and must present a dynamic and instantly recognisable identification of the company or business. Corporate brand awareness is crucial in maintaining a company’s position in the market place and your logo is a vital part of that brand.

Dear Mr Munk

I am currently writing my dissertation on logos, titled “should logos evolve?”

I would appreciate it if you could find time from your schedule to answer a few questions.

In brief, I have looked at logos and how they have changed, examined the affect it has on the consumer and whether or not altering the logo misleads existing customers and/or alienate their company. In an article titled “YES LOGO 2003” Wally Olins wrote “although it may look as though they are conquering the world, all brands are always insecure”

Looking carefully at the statement, "all brands are always ", I also concur that perhaps the reason why logos change is because of their insecurities.

I believe that some logos need to change because they show a symbol that denotes negativity. For instance disability charities that consist of wheelchair symbols are visually expressing some kind of helplessness.

I like to hear your views on the subject.

reading your artical on logo evolution do you agree that logo evolve because they are always looking to perfect or is it because they are insecure?

What do you think about my dissertation question?

Do you think logos should evolve?

Have you come across a logo that has fail because it had changed visually?

Were your answers from a creative or business point of view?

Would you like to add or ask any question?

Thank you for your time.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

John Vuong

I think the FedEx design has got a lot of publicity. Read about it in quite a few blogs. Still think it is one of the most simple yet memorable logo design.

I agree with Max. I look at it as a shield, much like the old family shields of yesteryear. That is what I thought it was before I read the post. I guess it makes just as much sense to have one for a town as for a family.

I think you're coming at this from a very commercial, modern mindset. This isn't really a "logo" that the town has commissioned--it's a shield. The operative symbolism and standards are those of heraldry, not branding.

I don't know about "stolen"...since one can hardly imagine a more concise use of the letter "O" for a political candidate promising green jobs.

It seems clear to me that it's only incidental that Carbonfund.org achieves the same "O"--to signify a sun and sky, and not a letter.

Accoutsic trademarks make sense only for certain companies and industries. In the case of Mercedes I think it will fit the logo well if done tastefully and will strengthen the brand. Considering the importance of tv and radio advertising for the car industry it makes perfect sense because the whole idea is that people feel emotive about their cars

Are you saying the logo I came up with was horrible and amateurish, or the one I started out with? I'm a little confused by your comment.

Love getting the feedback, though. I realize you can't please everyone.

It used to be that you had to submit a website when commenting, so at least I can check out your stuff. I guess that's not the case anymore. I'm curious what you would do with the logo (given the boundaries of including a dove, a circle, and a cross). Care to try it?

Horrible and amateurish. I cant imagine the comment that hundreds or even thousands of designers listen to this podcast. For $400 you can have a student at a university design a much more professional and beautiful mark. This is design on the level of microsoft word clip art.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
My name is Ethan Suplee and I am new to this forum. I hope, I am posting in the right
section, and I apologize in advance, if I posted in the wrong place,
please advise.
About this time last
year, I came across information about
investment programs, that do not trade
publicly. The rates of investment
return, which participants could
receive by investing in such
programs, appeared
incredibly high at
first, but as I learned more reviews about them, I joined some too. As
of today, I consider
myself as no less, but the successful
investor. To take my online adventures on the next level, I
set up the blog, which
provides detailed information
about online investing. If you would like to see it, here is the link. I would deeply
appreciate
your comments.

Hi,
Is it known whether any Aboriginal designers were involved (in the Riviera Design Group) in the production of this logo?
Thanks,
