The icon needs to be rethought or even eliminated. Find a way to make the type itself iconic. Play off the word sharp - modify the letterforms to say the idea without using the actual image of a shark to say it. If the shark image must stay get it out of the box make it solid and eliminate the minute details (they will get lost on items such as business cards). The word designs should be in the same font, but it should be all caps, smaller, and fit neatly between the ascender of the p and the right edge of the h.

I'd say this is pretty good. There's a few tweaks I'd make. The gills and eye may not be necessary. And I'd make the shark graphic larger than the box to make it not only more unconventional and eyecatching, but also to symbolize your "out of the box" creativity.

That sounded like B.S., but I actually meant that.

You could also try the shark graphic without the box. The whole logo seems oddly shaped.

I like that it's only two colors. I would have "designs" be the same font as sharptooth, and capitalized, so it fits better.
