This is fairly well done. I think some minor revisions would get it there. First, I wouldn’t place the icon at the bottom. The icon itself is well done so place it to the left or above the type. I would eliminate the very minute detail at the bottom of the eyes. The font is fine, but it isn’t kearned properly. Pay attention to the viaual spacing between the letterforms. I would also do something to the font to customize it a bit and make it jive better with the icon. Hint: there are pointy characteristics in the icon of the cat. Could something similar be done tastefully to the letterforms? Overall it’s a very good start.

I agree with Brian on everything. Also, the tag, if it has to be there, should be a little bit bigger to be legible. Maybe it can be red to balance out the image. You don’t want it to look like text and a graphic stuck together. There has to be something tying them together.

You could also lose the nose, I think.

It isn’t an ugly mark, but I am having trouble making sense of it. There is no connection between the words “PRESTO” and the head of the cat. Why is the company called “PRESTO,” and what does that have to do with cats? The tagline “branding, design, web” confuses me even more because it just complicates the question. My advice would be to pick one of the elements and really run with it. If you love the name “Presto” really own it. If you love the cat head, make that be the mark, and support it with type that doesn’t compete with it. Call yourself “Cat Head Design” and then at least it would really tell a story. Whatever you do, ditch the tagline. A logo is not the place for job descriptions and mission statements.

i like how the design is simple, yet ‘designed’. everyone expects more out of a logo design when it is design by or for a graphic designer/graphic design company. pay close attention to spacing also. the first thing i noticed was that you tag ‘branding.design.web’ was not centered properly under your company name. one other thing that i often struggle with is usability of your logo. is your square shaped design going to go well with every place you will see your logo (letterhead, website, emails, promotional objects..etc)
