After reading your clarification on the target audience, I think you should reconsider your approach. This logo is great for a younger audience, with it’s bright colors, and playful approach, it works well. Although I do agree with the recommendation of seperating the words by color, and not just the o and a. If your target audience is 20 - 30 year olds, I feel a logo with a clean, more modern look will get you into the market you are seeking. Good Luck.

Thanks for commenting about my logo. I understand your thoughts about the flow of the wording and the different “o” and “a”.

Two things for clarification.
*) The site is not aimed towards kids but rather towards passionate boardgamers that are mostly above 20 or 30.
*) The logo is on a blue background at the moment. Maybe I should have said that. So I don’t know if too many blue in the logo would have a bad effect on the contrast. See the preview here for yourself … http://www.boardgames.at/bgatv3/

Anyway … I appreciate your tips a lot and will try to change something about the logo based on your comments.

I like the logo. It has a happy personality that works well with your vertical. If I had to find one thing to change, it would be the color of the font. The way it looks now, it doesn’t read well. Paul’s advice of trying different colors for each word would be nice.

I think this logo is very good. It really fits what the website will be. I like how you have carried the style from the icon to the type. It comes together very good.
I do agree with Paul in that the text doesn’t flow as good as it could. I don’t understand why the ‘o’ and ‘a’ are the only letters that are blue. I might be reading into something that is not there, but it is a little distracting and maybe that is the reason it doesn’t flow as good as it could. It might be worth tring to have either ‘board’ or ‘games’ be blue and the other orange.
Overall, I think you created a successful logo.

I like this. I would have made games blue, and the rest of the text orange, but that’s not really a big design issue.

There’s something about this text that I don’t like, and I think I figured out what it is. It doesnt flow. Fonts that are geared toward kids, or that use the funky angles and widths are to be used with extreme caution with logos, where it’s imperative that it’s read immediately. It’s fine to use a fun font with this kind of company, but this one tries too hard and is clunky to read. Maybe its the color of the o and a thats breaking it up weirdly for me, so my color suggestion might help.

All in all, though, it’s a pretty sweet logo. Good job.
