I like the simplicity, but it doesn’t really have a lot of personality…nothing to show what it’s for. I’m not saying put a coffee cup in it (Starbuck’s has done well with a graphic that has nothing to do with what they sell), but it needs a “hook”. Something to interest people in the company. Having the spelled-out ten in the base of the one is not enough. A circle is definitely not enough. It needs at least an interesting shape. Keep trying.

I love simplicity. However, it is very tricky to pull off. As Paul said, there needs to be some memorable hook to the logo. The word ‘Ten’ is going to get lost on a lot of your collateral. It is just to small with too little contrast. The bluse line is distracting to me. If you want the line that thick, try switching the colors so the name stands out, not the line. The font you are using for the numbers doesn’t seem to fit the composition. Try a very simple san serif that is less condensed. To help with finding the hook that you can include in the logo, I would center around cafe and ten. What does ten mean? What does it stand for? Maybe there’s something interesting there that you can draw from.

I think enough has been said on making it more interesting. Paul and Ben have summed it up nicely. As far as design, it looks a little unbalanced. The ‘10′ does not look centered in the circle and it almost looks like a mistake. It is also hard on the eyes. You almost need to squint to read the small ‘ten’. I like the fact that it is simple so you are on the right track.

I am not sure if it is the file or not, but the circle does not look completely round. It seems like there are very small bumps on the edges. I like the idea of the circle. I get the feeling of looking down into a coffee cup. Maybe try adding some sort of graphical indicator to make it clear. Possibly add a graphical representation of the handle? The circle could also maybe be a coffee cup ring, like you get on the counter sometimes. What is the name of the coffee shop? I would suggest changing up the colors. The current colors remind me of sporting goods.
