I see where you are trying to take this but it is not working. My suggestion would be to loose the “hot dog” theme. I don’t know if you would be taken serious if you handed a business card to a client with this on it. If you are stuck on using a hot dog, make a clean, simple icon using the hot dog, and then make your name simple and make sure the typography is perfect.

If you insist on a play on words, how about how about a dachshund (a wiener dog) instead of a hot dog?

I won’t get into the appropriateness of the idea, but the hot dog needs some work. Simpler, funner. Do hot dogs have those little tassels on the end anymore? Did they ever? Lose those.
The diagonal layout is bothering me. It doesnt stick together. Try other layouts.
In the b/w versions, I wouldnt outline the text like that, unless the outline was copied to the back and thickened.
Keep trying. I know it’s hard. It needs to stick out and penetrate the design market.

If you are primarily an illustrator this may work (with some refinement). However if you are a graphic designer in general, I don’t think this is a professional image to portray. Although, I did like the idea suggested above, about the wiener dog!!
