I like it, but...

Looks very similar to the old Sony Autosound/Mobile Logo from the 90's, same colour and close to same shape.

But i still like it, Comes off well.

Really like the surfboard ufo image. It very much reflects the name of the company surf tech. I think it would hold up well on it's own. The text could be a bit more refined, but overall good stuff...

Love the style. The arch on top distracts it from being recognized as a surfboard. It looks like a spaceship

I like it .
yes i do , BUT

i would lower the word surftech so that the S curves with the Fin of the surfboard and then elongate the lenth of the board and drop the angle so that it sits over the text

also , i dont understand the bubble on top of the board ? , if it has a meaning then maybe you could better describe that . at the moment the bubble makes the logo look like a hat ;/

I think the logo looks pretty good overall, but I can't figure out why the logo has the UFO saucer if the company is making surfboards - I don't understand the tie-in and think it weakens the message.

The text might be a little close to the image on the left side, while sitting out a bit far on the right side. I would like to see the 'S' a little farther apart from the fin, and the right edge of the board closer to the gap between the 'c' and the 'h'.

I like that this logo is simple and relates to the company. There is something odd about the font. I would try the suggestions mentioned and see if you can tighten it up a little.
Well done.

Dear Mr. Massey,

Here are my observations:

1. The idea of using one color [generally] is good, but in this case I think that using of 3-5 colors would work better.

2. The surf board is inexpressive: it's hard to tell if it's a surf board or a stylized car...

3. The text could suffer changes, too, such are:

a. a more expressive font, perhaps keeping the italic
b. "surf" = normal and "tech" = bold or inverse.

I hope that my observations are helpful.

I love the illustration you have in this logo. It is very strong and unique. As for the text, I like that it has a similar line weight to the illustration, but I agree with Rob Kirby that the italic treatment is not necessary.
