I love this logo. The way the top of the guitar can also serve as the center of the bloom is great. I like the distressed approach, but don’t know that it is necessary. I think the design would be great with or without it. Well done!

Nice work, Matthew. I really like the colors and style. Very creative approach. The only thing I would work on is the legibility. The N and the T could fit a little better into the space. You want the viewer to be able to read it within the first 3 second of seeing it, and it’s almost there. Good job!

I agree with Allison Duine, in that this is a great logo. I personally love the distressing that has been added to it, as it gives the logo a “down-home” look and feel. There is just a few tweeks I would recommend. I don’t feel that the decorative elements are needed between the O/W and O/T. The thin lines of these elements seem out of place next to the thick lines used throughout the rest of the logo.

Well done. I think this logo is awesome. I think it fits perfectly with genre and the fact that you used the cotton plant is brilliant. I agree with Curt, in that the decorative elements don’t belong. They don’t seem to fit with the rest of the look. But having said that, even if you don’t change it, it is a great logo.

It’s a great logo. My observations:

    1. The distressing underlines the fact that this logo has to do with rock music [which, usually, has something "dirty"] - at least, this is what the guitar head suggests.
    2. As Mr. Jensen suggested, the decorative elements are not justified. Here’s a practical aspect, too: printed in a small size these elements [almost] won’t be visible.
    3. I would keep the “Cotton West”’s white background clean.

Thanks guys! This logo was for a rockabilly blues artist who was raised in Memphis and grew up on Carl Perkins and Elvis- the decoration is from Elvis’ first guitar, which was hanging in Sun Studios when we recorded his album. That is why it is included , in honor of him. The distressed look is because he was raised on a dirt farm that was suppose to be growing cotton.
