I think the logo is oversimplified. It needs something more. Perhaps a different font, or color or outline. I like the concept, but it does not look professional. The font is too bland and common. Play with the first letter “O” maybe change the color.

I really like the potential of this logo. It feels 95 % done but I agree that it needs just a touch of colour. If I would change anything, it would be to take the dot of the i out alltogether and replace it with the drop logo and change its colour to a green or maybe a yellow.

Good afternoon and thank you a lot for your comments! I hope more comes and a real discussion is made!
Liza and Jason thank you and I have here a little conversational feedback to your comments that would sort of explain a little of the creative process…
we wanted this to be as it is… over simplified due to the fact that it would be probably hand painted on trucks and other really hand made applications. Color was an option we explored and if you could see all work done for this client you would see that many vivid colors were used on brochures and other material in contrast to the logo itself. The drop over the “i” would have been a resource largely used and repeated and it was under observation before we decided to finally go for this version.
Thanks again for your comments!

Simple is always better with logo design. I think adding something to this logo design with no deliberate meaning is a mistake. I also believe the strongest logos look good in just a single color.
My one concern with this piece is the size of the icon. From any great distance the house/drop of diesel will be completely lost, especially when viewed from a distance or shrunken down for business cards.

I agree with Jonathan. The icon is too detailed. It’s a good concept, and a strong logo overall, but the only reason we can tell its a house is because of its 365px size.

Hi Eric, I love the font used for the logo, it’s very clean and it gives off a great “corporate” vibe. I also agree with Jonathan about the symbol used at the end of the logotype. The icon would look horrible at small sizes (letterhead and envelopes for example).
The initial shape of the symbol is great, and getting rid of the house in the middle of the symbol, but keeping the outline, would make this logo great.
Finally, adding some color to the logo would really make it pop. Right now the black and white is very bland, a touch of navy blue or a ruby red would make this logo even better.

Tanner I do agree with the house details… I could probably lose the door and window and try to make the drop bigger… navy blue and black has almost never been a combination I like but the ruby red I think would work great… I could make those changes and put it back in this post (can this be done?) if you would like to see your suggestions applied…

Hi, I’ve sent my own logo in numerous times to be reviewed, and it’s seemingly ignored. Please please e-mail me!! I presume you accept logos from UK start-ups? BTW nice logo Eric!

I love your text. It is strong and looks great in black. But for me, the icon feels too small. If you were to increase the size of your icon (so the lines within it are similar in size to the weight of the text) it would feel a lot more unified. But personally, I don’t feel that your icon is necessary.

I have a suggestion for the drop with the house in it. What if the house became more like a smiling face? You could simplify it and associate the house within the drop with a positive image. I do not have ideas for integrating the graphic with the text, but I agree that it needs to be more connected, or even just pop a little. But I love it for its simplicity.

Wonderful drawing there - nice job.
The size ratio between the wordmark and the droplet will be a problem - the detail in the droplet won’t render well. Most logos never appear at this perceptual size: You are either looking at a small logo up close, or a big logo far away. Almost never a giant logo up close, unless you work for the company!
The windows on the house are just not going to survive scaling. Still, this feels like a good idea. Does it match the aspirations of the company?
