I like the colors. However, there are a couple of elements in this logo that bother me. To start with I think that I have to address the strange thing floating above and to the right of the text. I don’t care for it. I am not sure if it is supposed to conjure up thoughts of wires and circuits or if it is trying to accomplish something completely different. I’m lost. If you want to have something extra like that it would need it’s placement changed to make the logo seem whole instead of fragmented and right-heavy.
The other thing that I would like to address is the line through the text. I think that it makes the text a little hard to read. Maybe if it was a little bit smaller that would help. All things considered, I think that the logo is out of proportion because of the floating thing on the right and needs to be reworked.

I think you have a good start to the logo but agree with John, there are a few elements that aren’t working. I don’t mind the icon that you have but I think the placement on it is off. I would try moving it top or maybe incorporating it into the word. Also, I would remove the line from the word. It makes it very hard to read and doesn’t add a lot to the design. Again, I think you are off to a good start, but with a little more time and thought behind it, you’ll have a good logo.

No, wait. I need to REVIEW this logo. First off, don’t use new and funky fonts like this(no matter how appropriate they seem). Logos that use these are the quickest to look dated. Stick with classic fonts, or at least modern fonts from reputable font foundries like Bitstream or Linotype.

And these free fonts are usually not well shaped. Look at the difference in width between the C, E and O. Yikes. It makes the whole thing look unprofessional.

I don’t mind the icon. But the whole thing is too horizontal. I agree with Tony…it needs to be incorporated into the text, preferably, or up top.

i would like to see the logo with a thinner line/space thru the font

I will have to agree and disagree with the comments that have been made before me. I love your icon, but agree that it needs better placement. I would also suggest that you make the line weight within the icon similar to that of the text. That way they will feel unified. As for the text, I like the line running through it. It gives you a unique look. The part that feels awkward to me is the tiny pieces of the “E”s and “R” that stick down right above the white bar. I would recommend increasing the size of the bar, so the pieces of the “E”s and “R” above the white bar are just a line. I would also change the top piece of each letter to orange, and have the base of each letter black. That would give you the custom look you are going for.

Hi Soto, thanks for posting your logo here for review.

Right off the bat I can tell that there is a lot of potential for a great logo here. While I agree with some of the points previous commentators have made, I think that, overall, this logo has some incredibly great potential.

First, the symbol is great. To me it represents a circuit, a great symbol to use with an electricity brand; simply because electricities can’t exist without a circuit of sorts.

So keep the symbol, it works great.

The main problem I see for this logo is the type, it’s extremely hard to read and it’s not very professional looking.

Instead of using a “tech” font with a line through it and a red “E”, try using a cleaner, crisper font. And get rid of the the line through the text, it makes any text hard to read and is completely unnecessary.

Also, try the logo without the subtle “glow” around the symbol, it reminds me of something from the 1980’s. This is 2007, your logo should show that.

I can see this logo transforming into something really great, something like the Tomatic logo (see here: http://tomatic.com/).

Many many thanks! You helped me a lot!
I will work harder and follow your thoughts and instructions.

Its great to hear that it is a good start..thanks again

The problem with free trendy fonts is that they don’t age well, and are usually not shaped esthetically (sp?). Look at the width difference between the T and the O. This is not a well-shaped font. Purchase your fonts from reputable foundries like Bitstream or Linotype.
