Hey Vicky, you've got an interesting start to your logo here, definitely; however, the only strong point your logo currently has is the choice of colors.

The different shades of blue and the spot of orange make for a really great, soothing logo. But that's where the problems start.

Your symbol of a jumping person (I'm assuming?) is fairly bland and, to be honest, looks like a child made it. If you're trying to be subtle about it being a jumping person, then why is there an underlying meaning at all?

If you're trying to make it be a jumping person - to create a feeling of excitement - there are many other ways to do it.

Not to toot my own horn, but here's an example of how a symbolic person could look: http://www.tannersite.com/folio/superjobs.jpg

Along the same lines: if you're trying to create a logo that makes people excited, your color scheme won't work. Blue is a soothing, professional color. If you want excitement try a red, or yellow for the logo colors. For more information on colors and the feelings they evoke, take a look at: http://www.brandcurve.com/color-branding-the-meanings-behind-colors/

I also agree with Curt about the ".com" text, it's unnecessary and can be hard to read for some people.

You've got a good start with some great underlying ideas, don't give up.

Well, you always need a place to start. Like Curt said, the color palette is nice.
The ".com" needs to be reworked because it doesn't seem part of the logo. You can ask yourself, does it really need to be there? If it needs to be there, then try replacing it. Maybe have it under the right side of "build".
With the icon, I get that you want people to be excited about building their own website, and that is good, but the figure seems unfinished and not really thought out. If you could rework it a little to make it look a little more professional, then I think you could go live with the logo.

I think that you have a nice color palette going for you. As for your text, the ".com" stacked feels awkward and uneccessary. I would recommend writing ".com" sideways, with the period by either the top or bottom of the "d," and "com" written vertically either going up or down the "d."
