The thumbs really throw me off. I couldn’t tell what they were at first; It was almost like he was flipping me off. Is there something important that they communicate about the company that the smiling skull isn’t already taking care of? If there isn’t or it isn’t of critical importance I would drop them all together.
Another thing that I think may help to tie the graphic to the text would be putting the skull into a rectangle instead of a circle, and maybe the rectangle could be as wide as the text.

I think for not being a designer you are off to a good start. I agree with John about the thumbs. I didn’t know what they were until I read his comment. I think you could remove them and still have a good icon.
I don’t like the font choice. It looks too sloppy and doesn’t relate at all to the icon. I think you could find a better font that works with the icon. Try to find something that has a similar look and feel to the icon so it works together and not like two separate items.
Along with trying John’s idea about the rectangle, I would also try removing the circle and just using the skull face with nothing behind it. I would also try placing the icon on the left side of the text.

I agree completely with persy.
The INC. instinctively bugs me, but I guess I can see how that can be part of the company name. INC as an ironic twist can work sometimes, I guess.
The font, though, has got to go.
The thumbs can go, too. Think about what that’s trying to communicate, and do it simpler. Maybe the graphic is ONLY a better-drawn skeleton thumb. The graphic is also too big. It shouldn’t dominate the text.

considering that this is a film co., the 2 thumbs up makes sense. You just need to finesse it a little bit. Maybe you can join the hands to the skull and create one image.
definitely remove the INC. or at least center it.
agree that the icon is a little too large.
going in a good direction.

I really like your skull icon, but agree with the previous comments that the “thumbs” are distracting. If you were to remove them, you would have a tight image representing your company.
