It looks a little stark. I like the anvil, but the text isn’t really joined to it. It has potential, but I would like something a little more creative done with the text.
And you know how I feel about the LLC.

It seems that the text needs to be worked more creatively. Instead of using three lines of text, try two. Maybe make the “brewing company” in one line, the same width as the “blacksmith” word. LLC not necessary. And the anvil has a lot of detail. If this logo were smaller, the anvil might look awkward.

I love the font and the idea of the anvil to represent blacksmithing, but the actual image of the anvil doesn’t do much for me. I wonder whether you can’t work with the text so that it takes on that shape instead–a logotype?

Give Up it is TRASH

Give it up for ‘constructive’ feedback ^
I really like the idea of using a rustic anvil instead of a stylized one, the extra grit really gives the brewing company some history and credibility. The accent under the ‘o’ in company adds to this feel. I wonder if it wouldn’t work on two lines like Ricky mentioned, but instead of making the words smaller, take away the ‘MPANY’ in ‘CoMPANY and keep the Co how they look, lowering the characters required in the second line to 9, where blacksmith has 10 characters.
If the image were to be located to the left of the type, the top portion of the anvil would do a good job of leading the eye into ‘Blacksmith’ as well.
I wouldn’t change the typeface, it has some great character and lends itself well to the era of the anvil, I would play with the positioning and find a way to tie them together into a cohesive unity

Thank you for the feedback guys (and gals).. Iwas going for a very simple and design that reflected the look and feel of the era and is intentionally kind of stark. After letting it sit for a while I see there are things I might have done differently.
